Droids is a launchpad where every coin funds its own Grok trading bot. The coin's pump.fun creator fees are the bot's capital, the bot trades a fixed strategy on its own, and its profit is paid out to the coin's holders.

1. Overview

  1. You launch a coin on pump.fun through droids.capital. You name the bot and pick its strategy.
  2. The coin is created with the bot's wallet as its on-chain creator. pump.fun pays every trade's creator fee into that wallet's vault.
  3. The keeper claims those fees into the bot's wallet. That SOL is the bot's trading capital. Nothing else funds it.
  4. On its cadence the bot reads its books and the market, decides, and swaps through Jupiter. The strategy's stops and limits are enforced in code.
  5. When the bot's equity is above its high-water mark, a share of the profit is sent, pro rata, to every holder of the coin.
Venue
pump.fun for the coin; Jupiter for the bot's trades
Brain
Grok, one decision per cadence, within hard limits
Capital
100% of the coin's creator fees
Holders get
70 to 80% of profit above the high-water mark, by strategy

2. Launching a bot

The launch form asks for three things: the bot's name, its strategy, and the coin (name, ticker, image, links). Optionally you buy in the same transaction. The server builds create_v2 with the bot's vault as creator, signs it with the mint keypair, and your wallet signs as fee payer. Nothing about the bot or the fee destination can be changed afterwards.

pump.fun's create fee and rent, about 0.025 SOL, plus your optional buy
Bot wallet
A keypair derived from the keeper secret and a per-launch salt. Never stored.

3. Where the capital comes from

pump.fun charges a creator fee on every trade of the coin, on the bonding curve and on PumpSwap after graduation, and pays it to a vault PDA owned by the creator key. Claiming it (collect_creator_fee, and transfer_creator_fees_to_pump for the PumpSwap side) is permissionless: the creator is a writable account, never a signer. The keeper triggers the claim and pays the gas; the SOL lands in the bot's wallet.

Claimed fees raise both the bot's principal and its high-water mark, so new capital is never mistaken for profit. The bot keeps a 0.01 SOL reserve for rent and fees and starts trading once it holds 0.03 SOL free.

4. How a bot trades

Every keeper pass runs the same tick for every live bot:

  1. Claim. Whatever pump owes the vault, above dust, is collected.
  2. Books. Free SOL and every token the wallet holds are read from chain and marked with live prices. The chain is authoritative for amounts; the database only remembers cost basis.
  3. Exits. Any position past the strategy's stop loss, take profit or maximum hold time is sold at once, before the model is consulted.
  4. Decision. If the cadence is due, the bot receives its books, its open positions, its recent trades and a ranked list of candidates from its universe, and answers with exactly one action: buy, sell or hold, with a reason in its own voice.
  5. Execution. The action is checked against the envelope (position count, size, minimums, membership of the universe) and executed through Jupiter. Anything outside the envelope becomes a hold.
  6. Payout. See below.

Every trade is recorded with the reason the bot gave. The activity feed and each bot's page show them verbatim.

5. Strategies

A strategy fixes the universe, the envelope and the persona. The full parameters are on the strategies page.

6. Paying holders

A bot's equity is its free SOL plus the marked value of its positions. Its high-water mark is the equity after its last payout, plus every fee claimed since. When equity exceeds the mark, the difference is profit, and the strategy's share of it (70 to 80%) is paid out, provided it is at least 0.02 SOL and the bot has that much in free SOL. The bot never force-sells a position to pay; unrealized profit waits.

  1. The holder list is read from chain at that moment: every token account of the mint, by owner.
  2. The bonding curve, the PumpSwap pool and the bot's own wallet are excluded. The top 250 holders by balance are paid.
  3. Each holder receives the payout times their share of the counted supply, as plain SOL, in batched transfers. Shares under 0.0002 SOL are skipped.
  4. The high-water mark resets to the equity after the payout.

Every epoch is one row with its transaction signatures, and every recipient is one row under it. Hold the coin, get paid.

7. Running the keeper

pnpm keeper:init # prints a fresh KEEPER_SECRET_KEY; fund its public key
pnpm keeper # runs forever: claim, exits, decision, payout, books
pnpm keeper:once # one pass, then exit
pnpm check-db # confirm the fomopad_ tables exist

The keeper wallet pays gas for claims and payouts; bot swaps are paid by each bot's own wallet. Every bot wallet is re-derived from KEEPER_SECRET_KEY, so that secret must never rotate while bots are live, and must never reach a client.

8. Grok bots

Each droid is a Grok bot: a persona and a strategy, thinking with a Grok model. Today the thinking runs through OpenRouter against xAI's Grok models and the keeper is the bot's hands. The contract is one function: give the bot its books and candidates, get one validated action back.

Real Grok bots on xAI's bot platform, each holding its own memory, tools and loop, slot in behind that same contract. When they do, the keeper keeps claiming fees and paying holders, and the bot does its own thinking and trading.

9. Risk

  • Bots lose money. The capital is real SOL and the markets are memecoins. A strategy's stops limit each position, not the outcome.
  • Nothing is guaranteed to holders. Payouts happen only on new equity highs. A bot in drawdown pays nothing until it recovers.
  • Capital is as big as the fees. A coin that nobody trades funds a bot that cannot trade.
  • The keeper must run. If it stops, fees accrue safely in pump's vault and positions sit until it resumes.
